Jon Stewart on Katrina. Definite shades of Bill.

God, how we need him now.

Great link.

He does seem to channel Bill a little bit.

not even close to Bill.
It was good to see someone poke fun at authority like Bill did. Perhaps close glimpses of bill, and perhaps Jon could be more of a Bill if he was unrestrained by censors. I wonder if Jon has ever publicly shared his thoughts of Bill.

He always seemed intense, his jokes always felt like a better way to channel disgust, I think their styles are WAY different...bill only made pauses to puff on his goddamed cancer sticks.

The styles are way different, but most comics of this nature(socially relevant comedy) were in some way influenced by Bill. In some bits more than others.

Of course he is no Bill, but I do think he showed, as DH put it, "shades of Bill".
